We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bryan Joseph Murphy (SPC 1949-50) on 27 July 2026, aged 91 years.
Bryan was a boarder from the Horsham and Warracknabeal (Angip) area.
While he was an only child, Bryan enjoyed having numerous cousins at SPC, and being related to well-known uncle Alph Kavenagh (SPC 2015-18, PY1920).
Farming was in his blood and Bryan was very active in the school鈥檚 Young Farmers鈥� Club.
His daughter Cecelia recalled that her father had many happy memories of his time at SPC and maintained a number of SPC friendships.
Bryan returned to the family farm, carving out a rich and full life with his own family, including wife Judy (dec) and five daughters Angela, Cecilia, Bridget, Polly and Sarah.
He was also an adored grandfather to 13 and great-grandfather to two.
A Funeral Mass was held at St Michael and John鈥檚 Catholic Church, in Horsham on 12 August.
